Meet Dana Schneider, ‘Hunger Games’ Movie Mockingjay Pin Designer

Schneider was hired to craft the iconic Mockingjay pin for the sci-fi film “The Hunger Games,” due next March. Not Schneider’s original design, the pin replicates the illustration on the cover of the “Hunger Games” novel, the first of a trilogy. “I was thrilled to be asked to make it. It’s integral to all three books,” she says. “It was actually very difficult to make. I’m quite proud of how it came out.”
